10/11 Session

During that session, we started working on the concepts. We had to choose an idea first. We discussed our scenarios and identified two paths: finding a beer place (Thomas - Scenario 1) and finding sights or panoramas (Angela - Scenario 2)

The idea selected was to help backpackers to be able to share a beer with other people, and make new friends in town. There are many reasons why this one was selected. It felt like a funnier task, and something we are closer to, since it’s an interest we also have. Another reasons is that the audience for it would be wider and it seems to be something where we can bring new ideas. We have also seen an increasing interest in beer culture among our friends (and the big crowd at stockholm beer and whiskey fair is yet another proof). The other idea is something that we feel has already enough existing solutions.

We then split up in pairs and started working on different concepts, a regular one and a “wild” one. Parallel designing is always a good idea, allowing to explore several designs to find the benefits and problem of each one. These ideas are explained in individual blog posts:
